When Upchain is the right call

If your entire design stack is Autodesk, Upchain is the path of least resistance for a cloud PDM. Real users echo the setup story: one G2 reviewer moved a small team off a Google Drive folder and praises being able to “lock parts, revision control parts, and associate drawings/analysis/manufacturing files with a part in a way more elegant than a file tree”; the same reviewer adds that “the cloud based system was very easy to stand up for a small team without dedicated information technology personnel.”

Where Upchain stops being enough is at the boundary of the vault.
