How we measure the 74% ECO cycle-time reduction

ECO cycle time is the elapsed time from when an engineering change is requested to when it is approved and released across every affected discipline — mechanical, electrical, firmware, and manufacturing. Pilot teams using ProductFlo cut their ECO cycle time by 74% in the first month, as self-reported by the teams.

What we measured

  • Metric: ECO cycle time per team — the elapsed time from change request to cross-discipline release, comparing each team's baseline against its day-30 figure.
  • Sample: early pilot teams running the 30-day pilot.
  • Baseline: each team’s ECO cycle time before ProductFlo, captured during the first week of the pilot.
  • Window: baseline vs. day-30 measurement.

How an ECO is defined

An engineering change order is counted from the moment a change request is formally raised (ECR) to the moment the change is approved and released to every affected discipline.

Caveats

  • Self-reported. The figures come from pilot teams’ own records, not from independent audit. We publish the method so you can judge the number — and every pilot runs against a written scorecard (see pilot success criteria) so the measurement is agreed up front, not reconstructed after the fact.
  • Sample scope. The figure reflects our early pilot teams. Full sample details will be published here once confirmed.
