Two LiPo board variants swapped the TPS54302 (28 V, 30 V abs max) for a TPS563200 (17 V, 19 V abs max) because TME had none on Oct 2. The input TVS stayed an SMBJ15A that clamps at 24.4 V, and the 5 A fuse doesn't limit a hot-plug surge, so the buck could see more than its abs max. The fix puts the 28 V part back, bought at LCSC, overriding the project's TME-only rule. TME showed 0 stock again on Nov 2. The only 28 V option TME carried had a different pinout and was rejected. A sourcing decision made in one place quietly changed the electrical design.
