Open CASCADE, and so FreeCAD, writes periodic curves with unclamped knot vectors. truck STEP reader copied the knots verbatim and evaluated the B-spline outside its STEP domain, so a full circle as a PCURVE edge evaluates to NaN at both ends, and the shell cannot be bounded or meshed. Fix: restrict imported B-splines to the STEP domain.
